Allow me to introduce myself ...

I have been working in the financial services sector since age 16 (younger if you include running the school bank!), which is now nearly 20 years. After working in various departments within what was TSB, I qualified as a financial adviser back in 1993 and after working for another bank and then a large insurance company, I became an independent financial adviser in 2001. I then set up Tony Barber Financial when my family and I moved to West Wales in 2004.

I am one of around 1,000 Certified Financial Planner^CM licencees in the UK and one of only a handful in Wales. I also hold the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate with specialist qualifications in Investment Portfolio Management, Pension Planning and Taxation and Trusts.

Over recent years I have worked with a wide variety of clients including some of the highest earning premiership footballers, business owners, professionals and retired private individuals.

I set up Tony Barber Financial as I wanted to do things differently to the way most Financial Advisers work. Hopefully this website will show you what I mean.

My Wife, Amanda, and I have been married for just over 10 years now and we have 2 children, Leo who is nearly 9 and Madeleine who is nearly 7.

Amanda is in charge of our Client Care Programme and works part time in the business.

You may speak with Mike who deals with a lot of the administration in the office or Anna who answers the phone and manages my diary.

We moved to West Wales for a change in scenery from the North West of England where I grew up. After being here for 6 years we are all very settled and love the area and the people.

When I’m not working I love to spend time with my family. I have Mondays off to spend time with Leo & Madeleine and help with their education at home. I am a Christian and my family and I all attend New Life Church in Cardigan (www.newlifewales.org.uk).
